Informations XTERRA 2013
The Xterra is an offroad triathlon of international standing. There are xx qualifying slots for the best athletes of the XTERRA Switzerland Classic for the XTERRA World Championships in Maui.
Qualification for the grand finale in Maui
Access to the qualification for the finals in Maui is possible for best rankings for each category. Each athlete concerned will receive - at the awards ceremony of the Maui Party - a qualification certificate. They will then have two weeks to accept their slot. Without confirmation, the slot will automatically be awarded to the next ranked athlete.
License
For the XTERRA Classic competition, the Swiss Triathlon license is required. The license can be obtained from the Swiss Triathlon Federation (or any foreign federation) as well as on-site the day of the competition for the price of CHF 20.-.
Race bibs
It will be possible to retrieve race bibs on Friday, Juner 28th, from 4pm to 8pm, and on Saturday, no later than 1 hour before the start of each race.
Swim start
The swim start will be directly in the water. Pro athletes will start 20m ahead of the age categories.
Cut-off times
Classic : To ensure the smooth organization of the event, we decided on two time limits (cut-off times), being 5pm for the last bike lap (or 2 hours30 to swim and ride 12 km) and 6pm for the bike/run transition.
Light : 11am for the bike/run transition
Park access
As with any such event, access to the changing park is reserved only for athletes wearing a bracelet, which will be handed out with the race bibs. The park will open at 8am for participants in the Light race and at 1pm for the XTERRA Classic and Relay participants. To retrieve their equipment, participants will have to show their bracelets and their bibs matching the number on their handlebars.
Liability
The organization accepts no liability in case of accident, material and bodily damages or theft. People participating in XTERRA Switzerland do so under their own and full responsibility.
Insurance
The organization declines any liability related to accident, health problem, loss or theft. All participants must have contracted an insurance policy covering civil liabilities.
Commitment for clean environment
Every participant is committing to respect the environment on the entire race course (swim, bike, run). and promises not to throw garbage (paper, bottles, gels, etc.) outside of the specific zones. (zones de propreté)
Any participant caught disrespecting this rule will be immediately disqualified, with no recourse possible.
